TFG London appoints new CFO

TFG London, the owner of Phase Eight and Whistles, has appointed former L’Oreal executive Catherine Lambert as its new CFO.

Her appointment will take effect on 16 April. Lambert held the CFO role at L’Oreal’s Africa and Middle East operations for five years until 2017. Her previous roles also include CFO of The Body Shop between 2007 and 2012.

Lambert replaces Cameron Jack in the role, who will leave the business in October to “pursue other opportunities”.

Jack joined Phase Eight in January 2014 and played a key role in the transition of the business from private equity ownership to its current parent company, The Foschini Group (TFG). He has also overseen TFG’s acquisitions of Whistles in 2016 and Hobbs in 2017.

Ben Barnett, CEO of TFG London, said: “Catherine joins us at a time of significant growth for TFG London as we continue to successfully drive the organic and acquisitive growth of our portfolio of premium international brands.

“As the Group develops, it is critical that we continue to be supported by a strategic and commercial CFO who can provide financial leadership and drive collaboration across our Group – and I am confident that Catherine will deliver this.”

Lambert added: “The rapidly changing nature of today’s retail sector, both in the UK and internationally, continues to present significant opportunities for growth. I believe TFG London is exceptionally well placed to exploit these with their stable of well-established premium brands and an experienced and successful board.”
