St Albans independent The Dressing Room is expanding its retail space to accommodate a growing product range.
The layout has been reconfigured to give 2,000 sq ft of trading space, up from 1,500 sq ft.
Owner Deryane Tadd, who founded the Drapers Award-winning retailer in 2005, told Drapers she has been thinking of expanding “for a couple of years”.
“It was becoming clear I needed more space, but I didn’t want to take on a separate site,” she said. ”We didn’t have too much room to work with but we managed to reconfigure and get the extra space in our current location.”
The new layout, which will officially launch on 3 September, will allow more flexibility with merchandising and events, including a dedicated feature area for brand collaborations.
The Dressing Room is also revamping its online offering. Responding to customer feedback, the site will now feature a “Style Me” page to offer customers online advice on their purchases.
