The Hambledon launches online fashion offering

Winchester-based lifestyle independent The Hambledon has launched menswear and womenswear online for the first time following the relaunch of its website.

Its website was previously only transactional for homewares. The new site, which launched on 27 February, also features editorial and photographic content, as well as beauty and grooming products, homewares and gifts. It was designed by London-based agency IYA.

The launch brands for womenswear are Stine Goya, Bellerose, Baum und Pferdgarten, Lolly’s Laundry and American Vintage. Menswear brands include Adsum, Norse Projects, Universal Works, Wood Wood and Portuguese Flannel.

The retailer said: “We’re delighted to be able to show a comprehensive edit of everything the bricks and mortar shop as to offer. And we really hope the new site will be as much a window on the world of The Hambledon as a new avenue of sales.”

The Hambledon, launched by owner Victoria Suffield in 1999, is a 3,500 sq ft store selling homewares, books and magazine, beauty and grooming products and stationary alongside fashion.

The store won Drapers’ Best Lifestyle Independent of the Year and Independent Retailer of the Year in 2016.
