The Hut Group opens new manufacturing site in Poland

Etailer The Hut Group is expanding its capabilities across its European markets with a new manufacturing facility in Poland.

The new 800,000 sq ft property, delivered by real estate developer Goodman, contains both production and logistics operations, alongside 37,673 sq ft of integrated office space.

The property has been built near the city of Wroclaw due to the access it provides to The Hut Group’s customer base across central Europe, particularly in Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Chief executive Matthew Moulding said the new site will give the company faster, more efficient access to its near 300 million online consumers.

He said: “We chose Wroclaw as the location for our new facility for a number of reasons: the city’s excellent road infrastructure and flight connections with the UK, its proximity to the crucial German and Central European customer base, as well as the excellent pool of employees from Lower Silesia.

“Alongside our European hub in Berlin, it offers a strong presence from which to serve our European customers faster.”
