The Idle Man kicks off crowdfunding campaign

Contemporary menswear etailer The Idle Man has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £500,000.

The ecommerce business plans to use the investment, which it is sourcing via Crowdcube, to expand its label range and grow internationally.

The online retailer has forecasted revenue of £2.4m this year.

The etailer bagged £500,000 in an equity crowd-fundraising in 2015. After securing a further £1.4m in funding from angel investors and backing from Channel 4’s Commercial Growth Fund, it opened a “try before you click” store earlier this month.

  • What profit is it forecasting this year? Turnover is meaningless to investors unless it is making money.
