The Ledge upgrades offer for autumn 14

London street and action sports trade show the Ledge is set to move location for its autumn 14 edition, separating from alternative show The London Edge, with which it is currently partnered.

The new show will take place at London’s Victoria House from January 26-27 2014, reducing the number of show days from three.

Opening hours will be extended to maximise trading time, from 10am until 9pm on the Sunday, with dinner and drinks provided free to all exhibitors and retailers to encourage later trading. The show will run until 6pm on the Monday, with lunch provided for free both days.

In response to brand feedback on the lateness of the show in its summer season, the spring 15 edition of the Ledge will move from September to mid-July.

The key aim of the re-vamped show is to increase its compatibility with production and sales deadlines, which it has struggled with in the past.

Matt Law, co-organiser of the Ledge told Drapers that in anticipation that more brands will be able to exhibit at the show when it moves earlier into the buying season, the new Victoria House location provides room for more exhibitors.

“It will be better for everyone,” he said, “We’re going to provide everything now from the stands, to the rails, to catering. It will save the exhibitors and buyers the cost of an extra night in a hotel and a better service all round.”

The Ledge took place this week (September 1-3) at the National Hall in London’s Olympia.
