A round up of the best fashion business stories from the weekend’s newspapers.

  • The Sunday Times reported that Jaeger is to open three stores, operating under the Jaeger London brand, in London next month. The first will be in Covent Garden, followed by shops in Canary Wharf and Leadenhall market in the City.
  • SRG, the company behind Suits You, has lined up the restructuring specialist Zolfo Cooper to prepare for formal insolvency, The Sunday Times reported. As revealed by Drapers last week, the owners of SRG were understood to have begun a strategic reviewof the business, which could lead to its sale, closure or administration.
  • Gap sister chain Banana Republic will this week unveil its fourth UK store in One New Change, London’s new shopping centre in the City, as part of a perceived roll-out of the chain, The Independent explained in an analysis of the business. The chain remains tight-lipped about UK expansion. A spokeswoman said: “We are always exploring new opportunities.”
