Thomas Pink appoints permanent COO

Thomas Pink has appointed Erica Vilkauls as chief operating officer. She has held the post on an interim basis for the past year.

Vilkauls has been managing consultant of Spaldo Consulting since March 2009, during which time she has undertaken a number of projects including, latterly, the Thomas Pink job.

She was interim product director for Animal from 2012 to 2013, brand consultant for Jacques Vert Group from 2010 to 2011 and merchandising director for A Wear from 2009 to 2010, all while at Spaldo.

She joined the consultancy in 2009 after three years as buying and merchandising director at LK Bennett. Other previous employers include John Lewis – where she was head of merchandising and business lead of change management for three years from 2003 – Figleaves, House of Fraser and Mothercare.

She took up the permanent job at Thomas Pink this week.

Separately, the shirt retailer is gearing up to launch its second annual ‘Which shirt are you?’ campaign, featuring a series of films that highlight a new collection or in-store service.

The campaign will run from Monday 17 August until October.
