Thomas Pink plumps for one-touch technology

British shirtmaker Thomas Pink is to start using one-touch technology Simply Tap on its new mobile store later this month in a move to make shopping anywhere easier.

The technology, which will launch on October 30, will enable shoppers to buy Thomas Pink products directly from their mobile phones at the touch of a button.

Simply Tap – a technology devised by Mobile Money Network – aims to convert traffic into transactions. Once registered, customers will be able to pay securely and have their purchases delivered with just one tap on their mobile device.

Alex Field, global head of marketing at Thomas Pink, said the launch was “hugely exciting” for the company.

He added: “Mobile shopping is taking off, but the beauty of shopping powered by Simply Tap is that our customers can use it across multiple channels. This includes in store and buying direct from advertising as well as from a dedicated mobile checkout.”

Last month menswear brand Pretty Green announced it was also using the technology.
