Timberland launches first UK e-commerce site

Timberland has launched its first transactional website in the UK, ahead of TV ad campaign scheduled for later this year.

The new site sells footwear, casualwear, outdoorwear and accessories for men, women and kids.

It features detailed product descriptions of the products' technical features. Shoppers will also be able to personalise boots with different colours, stitching, laces and monograms.

E-commerce director Rolf Schultz said: "We see it as more than just an e-commerce tool, it's also an invaluable platform for communication and action, helping us to develop our role as a responsible and ethical business."

The brand is also launching a television advertising campaign, which will focus on the brand's waterproof products.

Timberland operates 22 stores in the UK.
