Luxury brand Tom Ford has launched its first transactional website.
The website, Tomford.com, will offer an accessories-led selection of women’s and men’s products including bags, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear and jewellery, as well as cosmetics and fragrances. Ready-to-wear clothing will be added later.
At present the mobile-adaptive site is only in English and will only ship to the US, but distribution will be extended internationally and the site will be translated into multiple languages in the near future.
Tom Ford, owner of the eponymous label, said the site would offer a “major new avenue” for growth.
“I have waited patiently to introduce ecommerce until I felt the foundation of the brand was well established offline. We now have 98 retail locations worldwide and the online store is an extension of them: it is a beautiful online space that carries exceptionally crafted, handmade products and offers superlative service,” he said.
