Tom Ford to show in London

Designer Tom Ford is to show his autumn 13 menswear collection during London Collections: Men next year.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has confirmed that the American designer will be on the schedule for London Collection: Men, which will take place from January 7 to 9.

Although the BFC said the format is still to be confirmed reports have suggested that the event will take place at Tom Ford’s design headquarters in Westminster.

Yesterday the BFC revealed that London Collections: Men is set to clash with menswear trade show Pitti Uomo next season, with the shows overlapping on two dates. The second London menswear event will take place from January 7 to 9, overlapping with Florence-based menswear show Pitti Uomo, which is scheduled to take place from January 8 to 11.

In July Tom Ford announced he was to launch his first standalone UK store with a shop planned for London’s Knightsbridge. He is set to open an 8,000 sq ft store at 201-206 Sloane Street, which will reportedly open in autumn next year.
