Tommy Hilfiger appoints first European operations head

Premium US label Tommy Hilfiger has appointed Gernot Lenz to the newly-created role of chief operating officer for Europe.

Lenz, who has worked at the brand since 2007, steps into the position immediately. He will report directly into Tommy Hilfiger Europe’s chief executive Daniel Grieder.

Lenz has held several roles at the group, including business development manager, director of corporate planning and vice president of group strategic planning.

In April 2010 he became senior vice president of operations and business development, and was promoted to the role of executive vice president three years later.

Grieder said: “I’m always excited to see talent grow within our organisation, and I am confident that he will continue to successfully embrace all the fantastic opportunities that lay ahead for our company.”
