Topman will expand its London Oxford Street flagship to 23,000sq ft and introduce a raft of premium menswear brands later this month.
The extension to the store will see it expand up a floor and will open on September 17 and has been modelled on Topman’s New York store, which opened earlier this year. The opening has been timed to coincide with this month’s London Fashion Week event.
The shop will feature a new area to house heritage brands and directional brands including outerwear brand Baracuta, D.I.E (Denim is Everything), Garbstore, Paige Premium Denim, skate label WESC, Calvin Klein underwear, Humor, Ben Sherman and Scandinavian label Soulland.
The store will also carry Topman’s existing ranges and its designer collaborations which include TM Design, Lens and collections from James Long and Christopher Shannon as well as its new, more premium collection called Ltd (pictured), which will launch with the store.
Australian denim brand Ksubi will also launch its first UK concession within Topman as part of the area.
“We are offering our customer unrivalled product through our own collections as well as some of the most credible and cutting edge menswear labels out there.”

The store will also carry a new “Smart Shop” concept, which will stock a wider range of premium and mainline suits and accessories. It will also have an expanded denim shop, mixing Topman own brand denim with concessions from brands such as Monkee Genes and Levi’s.
Topman own brand footwear will be sold alongside a concession from Kurt Geiger and a new trainer boutique run by footwear chain Office.
The shop will also have a new Red Area adjacent to where shoppers enter the store. It will showcase new brands and collections and provide styling tips and will have a new zone called Area Two One Four, which will house its stylist services and a barbers.
Topman managing director David Shepherd said: “‘A time has come when we can confidently say that we have outgrown the current trading space. It’s an extremely exciting time for Topman and the new floor will really reflect that. We are offering our customer unrivalled product through our own collections as well as some of the most credible and cutting edge menswear labels out there. The new floor will really be a whole new experience – a true menswear destination – I’m confident there will be nothing like it anywhere else on the high street.’
Topman design director Gordon Richardson added: “There’s never been a more exciting time in men’s fashion. With an ever increasing design pool of young talent emerging in the UK, showcased at MAN during London Fashion Week coupled with an increasingly confident consumer, now more than ever seems to be the right time for Topman to be providing a further platform for contemporary fashion with our new purpose designed store. Catering for the fashion savvy male whatever their style or tribe our new store will provide everything that reflects their lifestyle from image to fashion to music.”
