Topshop appoints new head of merchandising

Topshop has appointed Ralph Lauren’s director of planning, Johannah Lightfoot, as its new head of merchandising for casualwear.

Lightfoot, who has worked at Ralph Lauren since 2017, has extensive experience in buying and planning across women’s, men’s and children’s luxury clothing and accessories.

Prior to her time at Ralph Lauren, Lightfoot worked for seven years at Burberry, where she rose from senior planning manager for menswear in 2010 to become director of planning for women’s apparel in July 2013, a role she held for three years before joining Ralph Lauren.

Lightfoot started her career at Nautica as a buyer in June 2004, before moving to DKNY in 2006 as senior merchandiser in for men’s jeans and active.
