Topshop digital director Kate Walmsley will join Warehouse later this year as customer director, as part of a relaunch of the UK womenswear retailer.
Walmsley will be responsible for the overall Warehouse customer experience through digital, marketing, PR, brand creative, visual merchandising, customer services, innovation and social media.
Walmsley said: “I am incredibly excited to be joining Warehouse at this pivotal time. In creating the customer director role, spanning all customer engagement both on and offline, Warehouse is demonstrating their desire to meet the demands of the contemporary consumer.”
Walmsley has held the digital director role at Topshop since April 2013 and was previously head of ecommerce at Topshop from November 2008 to March 2013. She was planning director for the digital agency AKQA for over seven years, working across the London, San Francisco and New York offices.
She joins Hunter creative director Alasdhair Willis and fashion designer Emma Cook, who both began working with womenswear retailer Warehouse on its relaunch in November last year.
Cook will launch her first collection for Warehouse in stores for autumn 16.
