Topshop will offer prizes online and in store over Halloween in a move to “drive conversation” within the Arcadia-owned retailer’s consumer community.
Customers will be able to enter the ‘Trick or Treat’ competition between October 26 and 31 by tweeting @Topshop with either a picture of their Halloween outfit or a Halloween style tip with the hashtag #trickortweet. The best tweets of the day will receive £100 gift cards.
In selected flagship stores including Oxford Circus, Manchester Arndale and Liverpool customers will be able to purchase items using tweets as currency. Make-up will be given in exchange for tweets.
Additional prizes will also be given to shoppers in the best Halloween outfits between 5pm and 6pm on October 27 and 31.
Chief marketing officer Justin Cooke said: “We love the idea of using Halloween to connect our digital and physical worlds. We know our customer moves seamlessly between the two and we want to make that experience even more fun for them and drive our conversation in our community around a moment that everyone wants to be part of.”
