Tricker’s appoints head of global sales

Northampton footwear brand Tricker’s has appointed Overland Shoes sales manager David Jeffrey as head of global sales.

Jeffrey was sales manager at Overland Shoes from September 2006 to October 2015, with responsibility for the GH Bass and G-Star Footwear brands.

He was previously senior account manager at Paul Smith for six years to 2006 and sales manager at Jeffery West for three years to 2000.

Tricker’s appointed former Nicole Farhi and Lulu Guiness boss Martin Mason as managing director earlier this year.

Mason joined the 186-year-old UK footwear brand in June, when Nicholas Barltrop, the current managing director and fifth generation became chairman of the board, succeeding his father Don Barltrop, who stepped down from the role.

Mason said: “David brings with him an invaluable wealth of knowledge in sales, which will no doubt improve our visibility, drive international expansion and bring the Tricker’s brand renewed energy and growth.”

Jeffrey said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Tricker’s at such an exciting time; being a local chap, it’s a brand that I have always admired for their skills, craftsmanship and remaining true to their roots.”
