Trouva opens Portugal tech centre

Independent retail platform Trouva is opening a technology centre in Lisbon in a step to protect itself against potential Brexit problems.

Trouva co-founder and chief executive Mandeep Singh told The Mail on Sunday that the expansion is the best way of ensuring it can continue to hire experts across the EU.

“It’s really about having a cross-border team and attracting the best people. Having the space in Lisbon just makes it easier,” Singh told the paper.

He added that the majority of the company’s non-British staff are from France, Germany and the US.

Trouva works with 300 boutiques including Clerkenwell-based menswear store The Idle Man and contemporary fashion independent Other Shop in Soho.
