TV stylist visits Bakehouse

Nicky Hambleton-Jones, stylist and presenter of Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger programme, will host a promotional event at womenswear boutique Bakehouse of Dorking in Surrey.

The presenter will visit the retailer for a customer styling day, an event designed to help the business drive sales and heighten brand awareness.

Hambleton-Jones will be at the store on Saturday November 29 to offer style tips and advice to customers.

Bakehouse, owned by sisters Jayne Beards and Hilary Edwards, came up with the idea in response to the challenging retail climate.

Beards told Drapers that her customers want to make measured and careful decisions when it comes to buying as the credit crunch is making shoppers more aware of their spend.

Beards added: “Customers welcome the advice. At the moment people are conscious about what they are buying. Having a consultation with an expert makes them feel they are getting the maximum value for what they are spending.”
