Children's wellington boots and men's leather boots have been removed from the 2007 'basket of goods' - the 650-item cross-sector shopping list produced by the Office for National Statistics and used by the government to measure inflation. No new clothing or footwear items were added to the basket, which is intended to reflect an average UK shopping list.
