UK chain Animal moves to a new store in Torquay

Animal, the UK action sports lifestyle brand has opened a new 2,493 sq ft store in Torquay.

Relocating from its former premises on Union Street, the new store is located on Fleet Street  – in an “ideal location on the main stretch towards to the beach,” according to Animal’s head of brand, Joel Pickering.

The new store officially opened on March 22, and is currently showcasing Animal’s spring 2014 collections across men’s, women’s, boys’ and girls’ clothing, as well as a selection of watches, wetsuits, technical outerwear, eye wear, footwear, luggage and accessories

The company - founded in 1987, by two surfers who were frustrated at their watch straps snapping under extreme conditions - has 44 stores across the UK.

The store is the first in a new shop design for Animal, which focusses heavily on on imagery from what they describe as their six core sports - surfing, BMX, skiing, skateboarding, mountain biking and snowboarding.
