UK footwear brand launches first website

British shoemaker George Cox has launched its first direct to customer website.

It debuted its online retail platform on 3 August. Retail prices range from £210 to £260.

The brand previously just wholesaled and is stocked at retailers including The British Boot Company and independents Cotter’s Bar Shoes and Hull-based Reads Footwear. 

It is understood that said it also plans to launch a retail pop-up in London in the autumn.

George Cox was founded in 1906, and is based in Northamptonshire.

Its recent projects include a collaboration with Comme des Garcons and Fred Perry.
