UK launch for Baum und Pferdgarten

Danish contemporary womenswear brand Baum und Pferdgarten is launching in the UK for spring 12 and will compete with the likes of Marc by Marc Jacobs and Day Birger et Mikkelsen.

Baum und Pferdgarten, which has won awards including best Danish brand in 2009, will be distributed in the UK via sales agency Snow, based in London’s Great Portland Street. Wholesale prices for the brand’s offer range from £16 to £280. The spring 12 collection consists of about 150 pieces.

Snow will target stockists such as Sarah Coggles in York, northeast-based mini-chain Van Mildert, Seasons Clothing in Leeds, London mini-chain Matches, department store group Fenwick and etailer My-Wardrobe.

Baum und Pferdgarten was established in Copenhagen in 1999 by designers Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave. It is distributed in 16 countries including Denmark, Italy, Japan and the US. It also has a standalone store in Copenhagen.
