UK shoppers are seeking out greater technology and convenience

To win over UK shoppers retailers should focus on providing new technology to make shopping experiences more convenient, particularly around product availability and order tracking.

The recently published Oracle Retail Without Limits survey of 500 UK consumers found 80% of respondents believe adoption of new technology is important to their overall shopping experience.

Some 65% most value technology that enables visibility into stock location, while 58% want to see technology that helps them track current orders and review order history.

The report concluded that while retailers can win the respect and trust of UK shoppers by enabling them the freedom to shop as and how they please, shoppers are now less loyal and will switch between retailers or brands depending on which offer the best convenience and price.
