The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) has released the list of finalists for its annual UK Fashion and Textile Export Awards, which recognises excellence in global trade across the industry.
The shortlist for New Exporter of Year includes eco-designer Christopher Raeburn, after-party shoe brand Butterfly Twists, contemporary shoe label Kat Maconie, luxury gift maker Otis Batterbee London and menswear label Universal Works.
Streetwear brand Boxfresh, lingerie label Damaris and jeweller Tateossian are all up for Brand of the Year.
Brands up for the Designer Business accolade include contemporary footwear label Kat Maconie, London-based designer Mary Katrantzou and jeweler Stephen Webster.
Christopher Raeburn and Otis Batterbee also made the grade for the Rising Star award, alongside organic baby clothes label Frugi, laptop and luggage brand knomo and lingerie label Lascivious.
Cashmere accessories brand Alex Begg & Co, leathergoods specialist Pittards, fabric and wallpaper manufacturer Prestigious Textiles have all been shortlisted in the Textiles award category.
The distinction of Great Brit could go to finalists Alex Begg & Co, woolens label Johnstons of Elgin, fashion label Karl Donoghue, yarn manufacturer Laxtons or mens socks label Pantherella.
Finalists for the Gold award include Johnstons of Elgin, Pittards and Tateossian.
The winner of the Retailer/Etailer honor will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on October 11 this year at Banqueting House in Whitehall.
The awards, which received a record number of entries this year, will be presented by Princess Anne.
