The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has launched its 25th Export Awards.
The 2011 Export Awards will include a number of new categories this year to encourage a broader spectrum of suppliers and retailers to enter and to reflect the growing importance of the internet in selling overseas.
UKFT director of international affairs Paul Alger said: “This is a great milestone in the recognition of excellence in exports and we are hoping this year’s Awards will attract entries from companies that have been selling overseas for the past 25 years as well as those who are just starting on their international journey.
“The Awards are particularly timely, as given the current economic climate, more companies than ever are looking to grow their business through exports.”
Categories for the 2011 Awards include: Brand of the Year, Designer Business, Great Brit , New Exporter, Retailer or Etailer, Rising Star and Textiles.
The Gold Award will be presented by headline sponsor HSBC and there will also be a presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award.
