Union protests at Asos HQ during AGM

Members of the GMB union protested outside the Asos headquarters in north London ahead of the etailer’s annual general meeting over warehouse working conditions.

The union called on the business to respect its workers following accusations about poor working conditions at the etailer’s Barnsley warehouse.

Asos chief executive Nick Beighton previously rejected reports of the mistreatment of the etailer’s warehouse staff, saying the business has “nothing to hide” and lots “to be proud of”.

Drapers has contacted Asos for comment.
