Uniqlo considers UK acquisitions

Japanese chain Uniqlo is understood to be scouting for potential UK acquisitions.

Uniqlo, which has 14 stores in the UK, is also looking for acquisitions in the US, as the Yen currency gains strength, according to The Times.

Uniqlo parent company Fast Retailing, posted its first profit in its international business, which includes the UK, US, China, South Korea and France, for the year to August.

Total like-for-like Fast Retailing sales in November rose 32.2%. Total sales were up 35.4% during the period.
