Updated: John Lewis extends Christmas click-and-collect service

John Lewis has extended its Christmas click-and-collect cut-off to 8pm on 23 December.

The original cut-off was 8pm on 22 December.

It follows media reports this morning that John Lewis had brought forward its cut-off time and date in order to avoid chaos in stores in the run-up to Christmas.

A spokeswoman for the department store chain said this morning: “John Lewis has categorically not brought forward its click-and-collect cut-off date.

“We are pleased to confirm that we will extend it to 8pm on 23 December for pre-Christmas collection in all John Lewis shops.”

The cut-off date for Waitrose remains 22 December, in line with previous years.
