Urban Outfitters sourcing director exits

The sourcing director at Urban Outfitters Stuart Cass has left the business, Drapers understands.

Cass joined the young fashion retailer in October 2014. He previously worked at AllSaints for nine years, starting as production manager in 2005. By the time he had left the firm in 2014, he had worked his way up to director of sourcing and production for Europe.

There have been significant changes at Urban Outfitters over the past year. In May 2015, Topshop buying director Emma Wisden left Arcadia after 16 years to become European managing director. She was joined by new heads of women’s and men’s design, Lizzie Dawson and Will Anstee, in May and July respectively.

When Drapers spoke to Wisden in November, she said she wanted to “to push the in-house designed collection and grow the team” in 2016.
