US exhibition Boutique Lingerie is to launch in the UK this autumn to cater for smaller and niche brands.
The event, which debuted in New York in spring 06, will kick off during London Fashion Week and will run from September 16-18.
Boutique Lingerie was founded by US-based lingerie designer Samantha Chang. It has been supported by trade association UK Fashion Export via grants for exhibitors since February 2007 and already attracts some UK brands, including Myla.
But Chang believed it was now time to bring the event to the UK.
"Boutique Lingerie has been a success in the US, both in New York and Los Angeles, with almost 30 designer brands exhibiting in New York next month. We will be providing a platform for more niche and boutique labels in the UK," she said.
The show has attracted about 10 brands, including Emily B, Amoralia and Myla. Others include US labels Bedhead and Zovo plus Australian labels Julianne and Papinelle, all of which are making their UK wholesale launches.
Chang hopes to double the number of exhibitors for next season and attract buyers from upmarket stores including Selfridges, Brown Thomas, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
The show will be held at Fifty Four Boutique Hotel on Queen's Gate in Kensington, London.
