Branded young fashion multiple USC is to open three new stores ahead of the crucial Christmas trading period, less than a year after it shut 15 stores via a pre-pack administration.
The multi-brand chain will open a 7,500 sq ft store at Manchester’s Arndale Centre and two 6,000 sq ft stores in Leeds and at the Union Square development in Aberdeen within the next two months.
USC is in talks regarding the future of its existing stores in Leeds and Aberdeen.
The new stores will stock both menswear and womenswear.
A spokesman for the retailer said: “We will look at opening more stores next year subject to trading over Christmas. We are quietly optimistic and we are trading well at the moment. Womenswear is moving in the right direction.”
The new openings will take USC’s store count to 39.
USC went into administration in December but was immediately bought back by its owner, private equity firm West Coast Capital.
