VeldhovenGroup merges with German fashion brand Olsen

Womenswear business VeldhovenGroup is to merge with German brand Olsen to form a single, pan-European fashion house.

VeldhovenGroup, whose portfolio includes Amsterdam-based womenswear brands Sandwich, Turnover, and DEPT, acquired Olsen out of insolvency in late 2013.

The merged company will keep the name VeldhovenGroup. The global headquarters will be in Zug, Switzerland, but the design teams will remain in the brands’ home markets in Holland. Olsen is based in Hamburg.

In a statement, VeldhovenGroup said: “Mid-segment womenswear is the core of VeldhovenGroup’s know-how.

“These changes will build on the heritage of the group and support its ambition to enable each of its portfolio brands to reach its full potential.”
