VF appoints new boss for Vans

Stefano Saccone has been appointed as VF Corporation’s new vice-president, general manager of Vans EMEA.

He will commence the role on 1 April.

Saccone was previously vice-president, general manager of Eastpak, also owned by VF.

He replaces Jan Van Leeuwen, who was appointed vice-president, general manager of The North Face EMEA.

Before joining VF Corporation in 2012, Saccone was general manager of sportswear and action sports at Nike.

He also held the roles of marketing director and senior marketing director at Ralph Lauren between 2006 and 2007.

Saccone said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to join Vans. As the brand recently announced its intention to grow global revenue to $5bn by fiscal year 2023, I look forward to helping Vans meet this goal by leveraging its worldwide authenticity to connect with consumers across Europe in relevant and meaningful ways.”
