Victoria Beckham eyes up Mayfair store

Victoria Beckham is rumoured to be in talks about opening her first standalone store at 36 Dover Street in Mayfair.

The British designer is said to be “negotiating the lease” of her debut shop, according to The Evening Standard.

Roksanda Ilincic is also said to have agreed a deal to open her first store at number 9 Mount Street and Christopher Kane is thought to be choosing a retail location in the affluent borough.

Beckham has been looking for a London boutique for months following the launch of her ecommerce site in March.

As reported by Drapers in December chief executive of the brand Zach Duane described the etail site as “the first step” toward creating a store environment for the luxury label.

The designer will join Alexander McQueen, Wolf & Badger, Loewe and Christian Louboutin who all have retail outlets on Dover Street.

A spokesperson for the label could not be reached at the time of going to press.
