Victoria Beckham moves into the black

Victoria Beckham’s fashion business moved into the black last calendar year as turnover more than doubled.

In the 12 months to December 31 2012, Beckham Ventures delivered a pre-tax profit of £1.43m - a dramatic improvement from a £1.67m loss the year before.

Revenues rose 127% in 2012 driven by the “strong performance” of its new lower priced line Victoria by Victoria Beckham.

Turnover grew from £6.77m in 2011 to £15.37m.

In documents filed on Companies House the company stated that “press coverage continued to be widespread and favourable” and it is expected that the business will “continue to grow strongly” in the coming year.

This year the designer and former Spice Girl has launched an ecommerce site and is also rumoured to be in talks about opening her first standalone store at 36 Dover Street in Mayfair.
