Video: Google and Levi’s to launch world’s first 'smart' jeans

Levi’s has teamed up with Google to make the world’s first pair of ‘smart’ jeans.

The jeans will be made from a new fabric interwoven with conductive material, which will be able to interact with smartphones and tablets simply by swiping the material.

The new sensors in the jeans will be able to alert the wearer to weight gain.

The partnership is the first product from Google’s Project Jacquard. The jeans will go on sale in 2016.

Project Jacquard is a new system for weaving technology into fabric, transforming everyday objects, like clothes, into interactive surfaces.
