JD Sports Fashion is to launch its first women’s only store for footwear chain Size?
The flagship store, which will feature a wide range of women’s trainers and a larger selection of branded clothing, will open in Manchester in August. The exact location of the store is not yet known.
The retailer said it is responding to increased demand from shoppers for a larger selection of women’s sportswear and footwear. It will stock womenswear clothing from Adidas Originals, Nike, Carhartt WIP and Rains.
Size? will also create a dedicated area for women’s footwear and clothing in its existing shops.
To celebrate the launch of Size? for women the retailer has launched a campaign called #ladiesthatlace. The campaign showcases the talents of women through a series of films created by Emily Macdonald of Hilow Films, with each film providing an insight into how women feature trainers as part of their wardrobe.
The first film features Sharmadean Reid, founder of WAH Nails. Size? is encouraging shoppers to share their own stories and images through social media using the hashtag #ladiesthatlace.
