Video: Watch Mary Katrantzou's designs come to life

Mary Katrantzou’s London Fashion Week collection included items made in London by embroidery house Hand & Lock. See how the pieces came to life in this video.

The three intricate designs - nicknamed the Penguin, the Robot and the Lady - took many hundreds of hours to complete and featured hundreds of delicate stones and precious Swarovski crystals as well as metres of goldwork. Techniques included digital machine embroidery, silk shading, stumpwork and tambour beading.

An all-woman team was led by head embroiderer Stéphanie Bonneau and production designer Jessica Pile.
