Visitor numbers up at Pure London and Pure Spirit

Womenswear trade show Pure London and younger directional show Pure Spirit saw record visitor numbers this edition with overall attendance across the two shows up 21% on last year.

This edition saw the show split across two venues for the first time with Pure London remaining at London’s Olympia while Pure Spirit and its spin-off Label, moved to nearby Earl’s Court to co-locate alongside menswear show Stitch.

1,155 brands exhibited across the two shows, 248 of which were at the shows for the first time.

International presence at the show was also strong with visitors from abroad up 12% compared to last year with representatives from France, Spain, Italy and Ireland.

Pure London and Pure Spirit will continue to be located separately for the next edition of the show - with Sprit located in Earl’s Court Hall 2 instead of Hall 1 - which will take place on August 7 to 9.

Personally I don't believe it. I know many buyers who visited one venue or the other but didn't visit both. I also spoke to a number of exhibitors who were unhappy for the same reason. As an agent I had labels at both venues making it impossible to cover all stands. For this show to be a resounding success it needs to return to ONE venue.
