Vivienne Westwood opens in Cardiff

The iconic British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has opened her first store in Welsh capital Cardiff.

Located in St David’s Centre in the city, the 2,600 sq ft shop will host all Westwood’s collections and will be the principal destination store for customers in Wales and the South West of England.

Inspired by the designer’s flagship shop at 44 Conduit Street, London, the new premises is styled with large windows, a stage, fawn-hoofed rails and a pink crystal chandelier.

Focused on bringing Westwood’s avant-garde designs to the Welsh market, the store will stock a full range of Gold, Red & Man Label, Anglomania, Anglomania and Lee Jeans and Red Carpet eveningwear dresses, as well as all accessories, shoes and bags.

Westwood opened her first store, Let it Rock, with Malcom McLaren in 1971 at 430 Kings Road, London. She now has five exclusively-owned shops; three in London, one in Leeds, and one in Milan; as well as franchise stores in Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and York.

The opening of the Cardiff shop signifies the expanding world of Vivienne Westwood throughout the UK.

An exclusive VIP launch party and presentation will take place in store on the 1st November 2012 to welcome Vivienne Westwood to the city.
