Wacoal Europe chief executive Tracy Lewis is to leave the lingerie business after 13 years, 11 of which she has spent at the helm.
Lewis intends to step down at the end of March to pursue new opportunities, handing over to current finance director Geoff Embley, who has been with Wacoal since 2006.
She will support the transition in an advisory capacity for a short period following the handover.
Lewis led the growth of the previously-known Eveden Group, the sale of Eveden Group to Japanese-owned Wacoal Group in 2012 and integration of Wacoal’s existing European subsidiaries into Wacoal Europe.
Lewis said: “The last 13 years have been an incredible journey, of which I am proud to have been part. The wonderful team at Wacoal Europe have all contributed to the growth of our brands globally and I have enjoyed every one of our many achievements together. I leave the business in great shape for Geoff and the team to build an even more exciting future.”
“On behalf of the Wacoal Group I would like to acknowledge and thank Tracy for her achievements, passion and vision in leading the business to where it stands today,” said Wacoal Europe chairman Yuzo Ide.
“Geoff is a very experienced and capable successor and will continue to drive the business forward to meet its future goals.”
Hans Hornemann resigned from his role as general manager for Wacoal Europe and left the business in October, just eight months after joining in February.
Wacoal Europe has a portfolio of lingerie and swim brands including Fantasie, Freya, Elomi, Goddess and Huit.
