Wacoal Europe’s general manager departs after eight months

Hans Hornemann has resigned from his role as general manager for Wacoal Europe and left the business, just eight months after joining in February.

The reasons for his departure are not yet known.

The lingerie and swimwear business created the new role of general manager following the departure of sales director Nigel Addison in November, who returned to his former employer Duck and Cover in the role of managing director.

Hornemann had responsibility for the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia.

When asked about plans for replacing him, the company said it was reviewing its structure. In the meantime, Hornemann’s team is reporting directly to chief executive Tracy Lewis.

Hornemann joined Wacoal from Triumph International, where he was regional chief executive for the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe at Triumph International.

He has also previously held senior international roles in both wholesale and fashion retail at Cartier, Pandora, Georg Jensen and Ecco.
