Luxury trade body Walpole names Sue O'Brien as new director

Luxury brands trade body Walpole has appointed Sue O’Brien to its board of directors.

O’Brien has been the group chief executive of search firm Norman Broadbent since 2008.

In addition she has now joined the board of Walpole, which represents 175 British luxury brands including Burberry and Mulberry.

O’Brien said: “It is a great honour to be able to contribute my skills and expertise to the board of Walpole British Luxury.

“With a focus on our Great British talent, I am very committed to helping the members maximise on the human capital side of their business innovation and growth.”

Walpole chief executive Julia Carrick added: “She has a wealth of experience in the corporate world and will be a hugely valuable addition to the Walpole board,” added Carrick.
