Walpole reveals 'Brands of Tomorrow'

Women’s cashmere brand Goat and menswear label Private White V.C are among the eight British companies to be named on Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow list.

The luxury trade association, whose members include Burberry, Jimmy Choo and Harrods, has identified these businesses among those with potential to become tomorrow’s “luxury leaders”.

Luxury nightwear brand Olivia von Halle is also on this year’s list.

The eight businesses selected will now work with Walpole’s mentoring group, comprising the likes of Michael Ward, managing director of Harrods, Jonathan Heilbron, chief exectutive of Thomas Pink and Guy Salter, deputy chairman of Walpole.

John Ayton, founder and chairman of Walpole Brands of Tomorrow, said: “The programme has mentored some fantastic brands over the last seven years and has an impressive alumni. This year’s brands encompass all the qualities associated with luxury - cutting edge design, quality, craftsmanship and originality. We very much look forward to working closely with them over the coming year and help them reach their full potential.”

The Brands of Tomorrow programme was launched in 2007 and previous companies to have been listed include premium menswear independent Trunk and luxury accessories brand Lily and Lionel.
