WDT suffers key personnel exits

Brand house World Design & Trade (WDT) has made key personnel changes a month after it announced it would cull young fashion brand SC51 and its Fullcircle menswear to focus on Firetrap.

As part of the shake-up, WDT finance director Lindsay Dunsmuir will join young fashion brand Ben Sherman as group finance director at the end of November. Dunsmuir was finance director for two years at WDT. He replaces Paul Fowler, who had been at Ben Sherman for six years. Dunsmuir will be replaced at WDT by Swarup Banerjee, who joins on November 1 from fashion group Liz Claiborne.

Myriam Ben Yedder, who joined Fullcircle as retail and brand director in 2008 from Marks & Spencer, has transferred to the same role at Firetrap.

WDT chief executive Asbed Momdjian, who had been acting Firetrap brand director for the past year, will switch to take the same responsibilities at Fullcircle.

Meanwhile, Firetrap UK sales manager Gavin Foster left last week and is understood to be joining watch brand ToyWatch. WDT is looking for a replacement.
