New trade show WeAr Select London has teamed up with the British Fashion Council to give visitors joint access to it and London Collections: Men in January.
Under the agreement, buyers can use their WeAr Select London entrance tickets to access LCM’s showrooms and vice versa.
WeAr Select London will take place at Old Billingsgate in London on January 9-10. It is being organised by Shamin Vogel with the support of her father, Klaus Vogel, publisher of WeAr Global magazine and the founder of Berlin trade show Premium.
LCM will take place on January 8-11 at Victoria House in Bloomsbury Place and other locations across the capital.
According to the organiser, more than 100 brands have signed up to exhibit at WeAr Select London so far, but only the names of Sand, CP Company, Blauer, Gaastra, Denham, Yasuyuki Ishii, Nine in the Morning, Avant Toi, Schneiders, Handstich and Lieblingsstück have been given to Drapers. It is hoping to sign up another 200 ahead of the launch.
US retailer Ron Herman will exhibit Ron Herman Denim and send buyers, according to Vogel.
WeAr Select London has also teamed up with WGSN to highlight key trends at the show. Details are still being worked out, but it may take the form of seminars or wall projections, Klaus Vogel said.
He added: “We are trying to revolutionise the fair; we will have a physical show, send out a digital format after the show to bring it to our international buyers and bring together the exhibitors in a special edition of WeAr Global in March. It makes it easier for buyers to find new brands and brands to find new buyers.”
The digital format will allow buyers to search through by item or lookbook.
