Westfield London bolsters its fashion portfolio

Cath Kidson, Fat Face and Clarks are joining Westfield London, as the shopping centre approaches its fifth birthday.

Fashion and furnishings chain Cath Kidston is opening a 3,700 sq ft concept store at the West London centre in early October.

Lifestyle retailer Fat Face will open a new flagship store totalling 5,000 sq ft in early October. This comes as the retailer celebrates 25 years since it first started selling T-shirts and sweatshirts in 1988.

High street footwear giants Clarks will also unveil a 7,000 sq ft outlet in November following demand from customers at Westfield.

Bill Giouroukos, Westfield director of operations, said: “Westfield London is 99% leased and consistently has high demand for retail space. Over the past 12 months, 23 new retailers have signed to Westfield London and 40 retailers and restaurants in 2013 have also chosen to reinvest in their stores with innovative refurbishments.” 

Westfield London has seen 40% growth in retail sales over the past five years and has an annual turnover approaching £1bn. In 2012 the centre attracted over 27 million shoppers and footfall over the past five years has grown by more than 20%.
