Whistles teams up with fitness studio to launch sportswear line

Whistles has teamed up with London-based dance and fitness studio Frame to launch a capsule women’s sportswear collection for summer.

The British retailer told Drapers it is still in the sample stage of production, with the final number of pieces unknown, but confirmed the line will include clothing only and offer “studio to street appeal”. A launch date will be set in due course.

Prices will sit in line with the current mainline offering, which start from £25 for a jersey vest.

Whistles launched menswear for autumn 14, but has no plans to launch men’s sportswear.

A recent post on Frame’s Facebook account advertised a casting call for members of the public, due to take place on April 2, who could win a chance to model the range and win exclusive gifts.

A number of brands have launched collections aimed at capturing the sportswear market in recent months including Boohoo.com, Misguided and Lipsy.
